Hi! Are you ready to play with a new sketch? This is the sketch we had to work with this week at Let's Get Sketchy.
I changed it up a bit and ended up with this layout about my parents in their dating years, in the late 50's.
I used Basic Grey's Wisteria collection and two different butterfly border punches. I colored the green flowers with Tim Holtz's color wash. The larger light purple flower was misted with glimmer mist then stamped with a script stamp.
Check out what the rest of the DT did with the sketch here! Hope you join us this week for your chance to win our monthly prize!
Happy scrapping!

Here's a layout I did for Sketch~N~Scrap, based on a sketch by Lisa Hidy. This was the sketch:
And here's my take on it. It's a beautiful Chinese garden in Vancouver that we visited in 2010. I used Basic Grey's Indian Summer collection.
I also did a companion page for it, based on this sketch by Ashley Horton, which I rotated for my landscape pictures.
I got to use some Asian stamps I had for a while, as well as some old peel-off Asian stickers! Love it when I dig into my stash!
Have a scrappy day!

Well I don't know about you, but it sure has been hot here lately! To put myself in a wintery mood, I scrapped pictures of my trip to the Christmas markets in Germany last December. This page is about the market in Dresden. It's based on this sketch by Ashley Horton, which I rotated to fit my landscape pictures. I used Basic Grey's Nordic Holiday collection. I did the page for a chipboard challenge over at My Scraps and More. I inked a chipboard snowflake, then added Diamond Glaze and a rhinestone in the middle.
That's it for now! Hope you're keeping cool!

The new monthly challenge at Scrap Your Crap is all about twine! I'm sure you have some in your stash... it's been so popular lately!
Here's my layout. I wrapped twine around one of the photos, and threaded a button with it.
It's based on a sketch by Becky Fleck. I used a collection from My Mind's Eye. It's about all the dogs we saw during our trip to Cuba in the winter of 2011. It was sad to see them begging in the streets!
Check out here what the rest of the DT did with twine and let them inspire you! Hope you join us and use of some of your stash with us!
Scrap Your Crap is looking for the next batch of "Queens of Crap"! lol! There's a DT call going on. You can check out all the details here. It's a great team to be on! You should give it a try!
Happy scrapping!

Hi there!
Just a quick post to share the layout I did for Sketch~N~Scrap. Here's the sketch. I love multi-pic sketches!
And here's what I did. It's the "Unter Den Linden", a long boulevard in Berlin lined with linden trees. At night, in December, it was all lit and beautiful! It ends with the Bradenburg Gate, which was magestic! I used a mix of papers for this one: Crate Paper, Basic Grey, Pink Paislee and DCWV.
That's it for now. Hope you're having a great weekend!

Well, we just booked a trip to Walt Disney World over the Christmas holidays for my boyfriend's 50th birthday! We're pretty excited about the whole thing, but we have nearly 6 months to wait yet! That put me in the Disney mood. So I went to my parents' and borrowed some old slides from my first trip to Disney World in 1981, scanned them and scrapped them! The quality isn't the best, but the memories are still there. I found a site called Disney Scrappers that has tons of Disney challenges. This is the first challenge I did, a sketch challenge based on this sketch by Susan Stringfellow.
And here's my take on it.
I can't wait to scrap a few more of these old photos!
As for the giveaway, you won't want to miss this one! Tattered Angels is giving away two prizes of 200$ worth of product each! All you have to do is vote wether you're a "Glimmer Gabbie" or a "Plain Jane"! Click here for all the details!
Have a great day!

I played along with My Creative Sketches this month. Here's the sketch, lots of layers to play with!
And here's my take. It's a photo from 2008 when we visited a haunted house in Niagara Falls. (The title means "Boo!"). We had lots of laughs during the visit, and even more at the end when we saw this photo!
If you want to play along, you have until July 14th to do so for a chance to win a prize!
Have a scrappy week!

It's Monday and there's a new sketch up at Let's Get Sketchy today! Here it is:
Here's my layout to go along with it. It's the second page to a layout about Cadillac Mountain, in Acadia National Park in Maine.
I sanded some Core'dinations cardstock for the base and some yummy My Mind's Eye papers. I colored the big red flower with Copics. The letter stickers are about 6 or 7 years old!!
Please hop on over to the blog here to see what the rest of the DT did with this sketch. You have until next Sunday if you want to play along with us and link up your layout for your chance to win our July monthly prize!
Have a scrappy week!

Just a quick post to share this layout I made for Sketch-N-Scrap, based on their sketch #10. This is the sketch:
And here's my layout. It's last summer in Bar Harbor, Maine. We went on a whale watching cruise. Despite getting some heavy for for a while, it dissipated later on and we were able to see a humpback whale. I used Sassafrass Lass paper (the whale paper), Fancy Pants and Crate.
I also made a companion page for it.
Hope you had a great weekend!

Hi there!
I just have a few quick layouts to share with you today.
This one is about my mom. It's based on a sketch by Becky Fleck and was done for a challenge at My Scraps and More.
Another heritage layout, this time a double pager about my mom's family.
This was me, 40 years ago! A layout about growing old...
That's it for today!
