First Disney Layout!

Hi there!

My present for my boyfriend's 50th birthday was a trip to Disney World. (He might have turned 50, but he's still a kid at heart!) We went over the Christmas break and had a blast! We stayed on site at the Port Orleans French Quarter. He had lots of time to visit all the parks and do most of the rides, even some of the ones for kiddos! lol! We met characters and took pictures with them too!

My first Disney layout is about Cinderella's castle. At Christmas time, it is simply breathtaking! It's illuminated by thousands of lights and subtlely changes color. I had found this anonymous quote and thought is was perfect for our trip to Disney. The layout is based on this sketch from Scrapbook Challenges.

I used lots of glitter paper to emphasize the pretty, glimmery castle! Along with some Tinkerbell paper too, of course!

I'm working on pictures of Donald next! Thanks for stopping by and have a scrappy week!

Finally a New Layout!

Hello! So sorry if you've been dropping in and there was nothing new to see. I don't really know why, but it looks like a took a long break from scrapping! I finally went back in my scraproom this weekend and finished a layout that had been on my desk since November...

It's based on the November sketch at My Creative Sketches.

I used one of my old pictures that I've scanned from slides. That's me on my first birthday. The title means "Reader". The journaling talks about how my mom used to read us books every night. When I was five, I asked how she could read just with letters. She then showed me how to read with the magnetic letters on the fridge. I always loved to read, and I still do!

I used a mish-mash of old papers (some Crate, Making Memories and My Mind's Eye). I also used a vintage doily (from the 40's or 50's) that was in my grand-mother's stash. I love all its details. It's hard to see from the picture, but I love how the crochet flowers match the little crocheted dress I'm wearing!

So I'm planning on going back to the scraproom regularly. Hopefully, I'll be more productive! I've got a bunch of Disney pictures to scrap now from our trip to Disney World during the Christmas break!

Hope you have a scrappy week!

Martine
