Patchwork Background

Hi there!

I participated in a challenge at
True XOXO Scrapbooking where you needed to create a layout inspired by one of the DT members. I decided to scraplift Christa Uttley's beautiful page. I absolutely loved the patchwork background she created for her page, inspired by Pinterest. I replicated the idea for a page about my dad as a young boy. I cut and glued lots of triangles from a My Mind's Eye collection in a random pattern on a black paper background, and sewed some of them. Then I misted with Chalkboard Glimmer Mist to give a bit more depth to the page. I matted my photos on green Basic Grey paper so they would stand out from the busy background. I embellished minimally, since I thought that the patchwork background was enough embellishment on its own. I stamped the title on paper, then adhered it to chipboard and cut out asymetrical tiles for the title letters.

That's it for today! Hope you have a creative rest of the week!

Martine
