Ok, so I've been lagging with the Sassy sketches... Here are the last two that were posted on Sassy Lil' Sketches.
This is the April 14th card sketch (which could also be used as a LO sketch if you wanted to!):
And here's the April 21st sketch:
Those are cool sketches! Make sure to go check out the DT reveals that go with them. There's some great inspiration over there!

Good news! The Monday Night Mystery Layouts (MNML for short!) have started again at Love Is In The Details! Those are so much fun! On the first Monday of every month, a DT member posts instructions to build a LO, one step at a time. A supply list is posted ahead of time so we know what we need to create the layout. It's fun to follow along and create without knowing what the final results will be! And it's always a kick to see how different your own, the other members' and the DT's layouts end up! Oh, and getting a LO done in one evening is also a plus for me! ;)
Last week, Lisa Tottle was the "ring master" for this MNML. It was a lot of fun! It did confirm that I'm "right/left-perception-challenged", but I really liked how my LO turned out! The pretty flower pics remind me that spring is right around the corner, my new "Green at Heart" BG paper makes me happy, and I love the new technique I learned in an online class I'm taking by Nic Howard with Big Picture Scrapbooking, paper curling! So simple to wet the edges of your paper to curl them then let them dry... how come I never knew that?!?
I also made this LO with my new BG Kioshi paper, scraplifted from Nic Howard for my Dimensional Details class. It's a LO about my scraproom, my confort zone! (You can spy a few cats in there too... they're part of my comfort! :)
Hope you had a good weekend! I was alone with the kitties this weekend as Mike was out of town helping his sister and BIL remodel their kitchen. I was hoping to get a lot of scrapping done, but it just didn't happen... oh well, I still have a few hours left!

It's time for a new sketch and reveal at Sassy Lil' Sketches! Here's the fun sketch we had to work with, by the talented Cherie Averill.
And here's my take on it. The title means "Looking for Nessie at Loch Ness". As I often do, I substituted one of the 4x6 for two smaller pics (always trying to fit more trip pictures on my LOs!)
I have to admit that I bought the "Archaic" BG paper pack just with this LO in mind! lol! I have a thing for BG paper packs, but I never had a "reason" to buy Archaic, since I don't scrap little boy LOs and had no use for dinosaur pp and die-cuts. Well, last spring, during an online sale of paper packs at Love Is In The Details (I can't resist a good sale! ;), I realized that I would be going to Scotland and visiting Loch Ness. Can't scrap the Loch Ness without talking about Nessie... There was my perfect excuse for buying the Archaic line! ;) A year after buying it, here's my first LO using it!
I also needed two capital "N"s, but only had one in the alpha stickers in the paper pack. So I used the one N, then cut out its outline and used that for the N in "Nessie". Like how that turned out.
Well, hope you enjoy the sketch and my LO, as well as the other ones created by the rest of the DT. Go check it out here and give it a try!
(Oh, and if you're wondering, we didn't catch a glimpse of the real Nessie while we were there, despite our "deep scan" boat tour! Had to settle for the fake one on land! But we got a good chuckle out of it! ;)
