Let's Capture Our Memories is having a "Scrapping with the Stars" contest! It started just last night, so if you want to join in, you still have time! Each week, there will be a star chosen (this week it's me!) who will set a challenge for everyone else. The star gets her own challenge from one of the other players. Then people will vote on the layouts.
My challenge to the others, as the "star" of the week, is to do a multi-photo layout (3 or more pictures), with pattern paper only (no cardstock, but embellies, alphas are allowed) and handwritten journaling. I was challenged with a color inspiration photo, couldn't use cardstock or flowers, and had to incorporate two different types of materials.
Here's the layout I came up with, based on sketch #84 from Creative Scrappers. It's a picture of my brother and me in 1974. I used burlap as my second material to mat the journaling spot and a couple of buttons.
